Labor Day weekend with Landen

Brit decided to take a break from all of the studying at Law School and made a quick trip home for the week-end.  Road Trip for Landen.

Landen got to visit with Lacie, Brit's dog.  Lacie is not feeling too good these days.  Please say a little prayer for her.  Looks like Landen is trying to give her some love.
Now he is being a bully!!!  Bad cat!!!

Making sure he gets the last drop.  This cat thinks he is a human.
He is a ladies man.  Here he is snuggled up to Brit's mom, Kim, while they both nap.
Landen's brother turtle Leonardo made the trip back with Brit & Landen riding shot gun.  Looking forward to his new, bigger tank.
This is one happy turtle.

Woke up Labor Day morning and it was raining.  Landen wanted to sleep in.

It rained all day.  Landen loves looking out the window at the rain.

Have a great Wednesday!!

Go Away ISSAC!!!

This is how I feel!!!!  We finished getting everything together this evening to ride out the storm.  We needed a new battery for the generator and made our first shop a LOWE'S.  They were completely out.  So, since we need to stock up on a few more groceries, we went to Wal-Mart.  Crazy does not even cover the way that place was.  They did have 1, and only 1 of the batteries we needed for the generator.  The water, batteries, and bread was going quick, and canned meat GONE.  Nothing.

I was soo looking forward for an excuse to eat me some SPAM with Bacon.  That stuff is sooo good, but soo bad for me.  LOL  But no Spam of ANY KIND found on the shelves.  But we did get everything else we needed.

I stole a few friends pictures from Facebook to show the calm before the storm.  The first one was taken  by my friend Howard Jordan.  He lives on the the Eastern Shore and took this photo this evening.  So beautiful.

This one was taken by that Awesome DJ, Lee Ann Waterrs on 92ZEW.  This was Gulf Shores earlier today.

The latest computer models still have Mobile in the equation, but it is still too early to know where it will make landfall.

But Ollie from the family guys does have the right forecast.  It is going to rain.  LOL

Mobile County has issued Evacuation Orders for Zones I and II.  We are about 1.5 miles from Zone I.  But we are going to be just fine.  We are far enough away from the water so we are ready to ride it out.  Hope everyone stays safe.

SMALL FLOWERS

It has been so hot, it is hard to keep my flowers blooming.  I do NOT have a green thumb, but I do have a few plants I torture.  I was out this morning watering and there are a few small blooms.  I took and few photos, uploaded and edited in Picmonkey.  (Have you this yet?)  I love working in Picmonkey

Here are a few photos I took.

Now that I have finished watering, I hear thunder!!!  Oh well, at least it will cool things down if it rains.

Have a good one.

WISHING FOR RAIN

When I walked out the door this morning, I saw CLOUDS.  They followed me all the way to work.  I was hoping that these clouds would contain just a little rain to help with this heat.  I know that I am lucky because is it MUCH hotter and dryer in other parts of the country, but a girl can wish.  Oh well, the clouds have past and the heat is out in full force.  Maybe later today?
This was the view when I went to get in my car.  Surely, I thought, we would get rain?
Looking toward Dauphin Island.  See that line of clouds?  Yes they went south.

Oh well, beautiful clouds anyway

What's the weather doing in your neck of the woods?
